Dinner and Sailing on the Nile!!

Unbelievable!

Truly.....I mean....we ate dinner on the Nile with Thomas...then we got onto a sail boat and watched the sun set.....saw the stars so clear...the moon was just AMAZING! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! (didn't even make me sick ;) ) Our captain gave us SUCH a smooth ride! No English, but I spoke enough Arabic for us to ask/get answered a couple of questions :-)

It's hard to take great pics in the dark..but we tried!! Here you are!

WONDERFUL! :-) Will repeat another time over and OVER for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!! only 100 LE which is like $18!!!!!!!!! for an HOUR! then we tipped the captain of course..but still - MY GOODNESS! how could you NOT do this often?! :-)

Sailing on the Nile - surreal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am not sure that as years pass us by, that anyone will believe I did that! I kissed a dolphin once and can only remember the photo now :-(

The Sudanese service is going on across the street - beautiful to listen to them! All the "mobile mosques" are set up around town tonight. it's 8 pm - we are 7 hrs ahead of Michigan - someone asked. (oopsie - I said 8hrs - it is 7, bad type-o oopsie hee hee)

OK here ya go!
this first one is a straggler from the sports club - but didn't want you to miss it!!

walking on the cohe-bree (bridge) over the electric trains

These are just other sail boats (fah loooga) so you could see what we were in :-)

Sheesha "bongs" - some type of flavoring with hot coals, it's smoking from a canister??? fruity smoke??? no way to explain. kinda like how Indians smoked pipes and it doesn't make you high. not that we did it, just showin ya!
