Family Celebrations in Maadi

Morning of June 16, 2006 - Chicago, IL

What a wonderful 2 day vacation we had as our last days with 3 of us. What a joy to share that time with my parents! I remember waking up so early that day and aching that she would not arrive from Seoul via San Fran until the afternoon! But we enjoyed a day together, the 5 of us!

Morning of June 16, 2010 - Maadi, Cairo

And now it's a family of 4...for 4 years......
Jasmine delights us with her giggles, she is all girl and had to show me multiple times before her day camp today, that she can twirl in the dress she had chosen! She chooses how I should do her hair, she frequently wears high heels around the house, she really is a delightful little girl!! Her interests are more artistic in nature than sporty...she prefers tea parties, paintings and pretty fashion shows in the living room.....but she has grown to enjoy the beauty in God's creation too. We just enjoy her so much!!

Afternoon of June 16, 2006 - Chicago O'Hare Domestic Baggage Claim Area 4

Afternoon of June 16, 2010 - Maadi, Cairo - Home and Gaya Korean Restaurant
The food was MARVELOUS!! Rob successfully got us 3 using chopsticks tonight, even!

Eeew, see my eye infection (aka in US "pink eye" - thankfully, all antibiotics, steroids, etc are OTC...I had eye drops delivered for like $7!) Gotta say, I only had pink eye when Joshua was in elementary school - now he's at camp at a nearby elem school and shazam, I have pink eye - grrrr!

**THANK YOU, GOD!! THANK YOU FOR MAKING US A FAMILY OF FOUR! FOR MAKING OUR HEARTS GROW LARGER WHEN YOU ADDED THIS SPECIAL GIRL TO OUR FAMILY!!**

Thank you, friends, for letting me show off my family today ;)

I also have to say that I adore how excited Joshua gets to remember today he became a big brother!!

Awww - loved the pictures, Wendy. Your precious little daughter spinning in her party dress was a delight to see! She is a real "girlie girl", isn't she!! You have a beautiful family -- oh my, how you have been blessed!
Love you, Terri

I'm glad that you and your family were able to celebrate such a wonderful day together. Jasmine has grown so much since I met her clinging to your leg over 3 years ago!
